?Taking care of our associates has been a vital part of the culture at Marriott since its founding in 1927,? says David Rodriguez, global chief human resource officer at Marriott.

To help associates take a proactive role in their health, Marriott launched the TakeCare Wellbeing Program in 2010. Through TakeCare, Marriott offers a breadth of well-being programs including stress management, exercising and fitness, nutrition and weight management, smoking cessation, and financial wellbeing.

Marriott has also established a Healthy Hotel Certification program to publicly recognize hotels for creating a healthy work environment for their associates.

?We know that when we engage associates in healthy lifestyle programs, we are making a positive impact in their lives,? says Rodriguez.
