Radisson Blu in the chair

The iconic egg chairs at Radisson Blu now in competition.

Radisson Blu announces a global design contest inviting participants to customise the iconic egg chair, originally created by legendary Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Hotel, Copenhagen.

An expert jury will select the contest?s grand prize winner, who will receive a customized version of their winning egg?chair design and a three-night VIP trip to Copenhagen. The winning design may become part of the brand?s new interior design scheme that will launch later this year.

A miniature travelling exhibition of the top 15 finalists will be displayed at selected Radisson Blu hotels around the world throughout 2016.

?While many Radisson Blu hotels have been built since 1960, the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Copenhagen remains a unique example of contemporary design within the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group as well as the hotel industry,? says Rose Anderson, vice president branding.

?Radisson Blu continues to push forward its strong heritage and affiliation with design by working with the world?s top architects and designers to create spectacular and iconic landmark hotels.?
