A woman fell six feet down an elevator shaft at a four-star hotel in Midtown early Sunday, the New York Post reported.
Emergency crews rushed to the Grand Hyatt hotel on East 42nd Street at around 4am after the unidentified woman?s accident, law-enforcement sources said.
It was unclear if the 50-year-old victim was a hotel guest, visitor or worker. She was listed in stable condition in hospital.
The Post said the hotel did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
