The iconic Hotel National in Rio de Janeiro will reopen in 2018 after more than two decades of closed doors, rebranded as Gran Melia.

Meli? Hotels International reopens the Hotel National in Rio de Janeiro designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer and built in 1972.
The hotel, which has been closed for several decades, has been rebranded as a Gran Meli? hotel.
Meli? has been in Brazil for 23 years, where it operates 17 hotels with another three scheduled to open by 2018.
