AC Hotels by Marriott announces global plans for 22 new design-led hotels slated to open in 2016. Five properties are expected to open this month in Guadalajara, Mexico; Cincinnati; Boston; Marseilles; and Queretaro, Mexico.
Additional properties are expected to open this year in Panama City; Santiago; San Jose; Manchester; Atlanta; Des Moines; Asheville; Santa Fe; Rio Barra de Tijuca, Brazil; Minneapolis;? Rio Porto Maravilha, Brazil; Mainz, Germany; Herzliya, Israel; Wroclaw, Poland; Birmingham,? England; and Boston Cambridge.
The brand was founded by Antonio Catalan in 1998 and, following its success in Europe, a joint venture was formed with Marriott International in 2011, which launched AC Hotels by Marriott globally into France, Italy, Portugal, Denmark and the US.
