Marriott International issued the following statement:
“We continue to closely monitor the ongoing situation related to the Zika virus. Our hotels in the impacted areas are taking appropriate recommended precautions such as fogging of outdoor areas, providing mosquito repellent for guest use, addressing areas of standing water, educating employees on the virus and making information available to guests. We are monitoring guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other international health organizations, as well as our corporate and regional teams. The safety and well-being of our guests and employees is a top priority at Marriott. Further information about the Zika virus can be found on the CDC web site www.cdc.gov.”
