Kempinski’s first luxury hotel in China, the in 1992 opened Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center, has a new general manager: Torsten Dressler, aged 53. Previous gm Gerhard Mitrovits will get a new role at Kempinski.
Dressler comes from the Emirates Palace. In the last years he was for six years director of the Kempinski Hotel in Shenzhen, China.
Torsten Dressler, born in Rostock in Northern Germany, started his international career as resident manager at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest in 1998. After stations at World-famous Adlon hotel in Berlin he worked at Kempinski hotels in Binz on Rugen island (Germany), Heiligendamm (Germany), Tchad and Moscow.
Mr. Dressler has an MBA by Reims Management School and speaks German, English, French and Russian.
