About Devonshire Square – SUSD worked in partnership with Brian Clivaz to develop a private members club providing a full service luxury lifestyle club including a mix of uses such as a club lounge, bars, brasserie garden room, winter garden, dining rooms, library / screening room, members rooms, gym/spa facilities, and overnight hotel accommodation. The site is located in the heart of the City of London, traditionally considered the financial hub of the country, which has gone through a dramatic transformation over the last 5 years. The area has become significant for new employment, particularly for the TMT sector and has begun to link with Shoreditch and the creative industries within East London. The Blackstone Group acquired Devonshire Square Estate three years ago and are one of the largest landowners in the area. Blackstone’s vision is to rejuvenate and diversify the Estate, to create an attractive destination to work, shop and spend leisure time, integrating the area into the fabric of the city. SUSD achieved full planning approval of the City of London Corporation for the change of use for the development and converted 4 & 5 Devonshire Square into a 58,000sqft, 70 bed hotel and private members club.
