This May, the company hosted its third annual Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality Month. Throughout the month, Hilton properties and corporate offices hosted a variety of events to raise awareness on the diverse career opportunities available through the hospitality industry.

Hilton hosted 1,100+ events, contributing 78,300+ volunteer hours and reaching more than 102,600 youth, during the month of May. This impact brings Hilton one step closer to achieving their goal of reaching 1 million young people by 2019 through its Open Doors commitment – helping youth prepare for the future and reach their full potential.
Hilton is proud to announce the 2016 Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality Month award winners, which recognizes hotels for their creativity, engagement and commitment to impacting young people. Each of these properties will receive $500 USD to put toward future community projects.
This year, Hilton deepened the level of social media engagement with #HiltonWorkPerks, a social media contest to encourage Team Members to share their stories on the benefits of working at Hilton. Here are the winners:

Throughout the year properties and corporate offices record their community engagement into LightStay, Hilton’s corporate responsibility performance measurement platform that allows the global portfolio to report the above impact. At the end of Carees@Hilton Live : Youth in Hospitality month we randomly selected 20 properties who properly recorded impressive impact into the platform to receive additional LightStay awards, winners will also receive funding for future projects.
