Harrah’s Resort Southern California announced significant changes to its leadership team: Regional President and General Manager Janet Beronio will retire this month, and Darrell Pilant, currently Vice President and Assistant General Manager, will succeed her as the new General Manager. Both executives are highly regarded for their remarkable and enduring careers with the company. Pilant, who will succeed Beronio as General Manager this September, has been with Caesars Entertainment for 19 years.
He began his career in 1997 as First Mate at Harrah’s Casino and Hotel in North Kansas City and, over the next 10 years, held positions at seven different locations across the United States, eventually working his way to Assistant General Manager at Harrah’s Resort Southern California. Pilant is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and served in the U.S. Naval Reserve as Lieutenant Commander before retiring.
