Macao – 26 April 2017 –
A luxury hotel has been ordered by Macau health authorities to close its pools and fountains after they were alerted by Hong Kong’s disease center that three Legionnaires’ disease patients had visited or stayed there.
Samples have been drawn from The Parisian Macao Hotel’s fountain, massage pool, swimming pool and water supply system in the probe, according to Macau’s health bureau.
Results are expected to be available in 10 days as thorough cleaning and disinfection are conducted.
The measures came after Hong Kong authorities reported the three men’s travel and accommodation history to their Macau counterparts.
