Hamburg, Germany – 4 July 2017 –
The G20 summit, which takes place from July 6 to 7, 2017, has kept Hamburg in mind for months. Quite a few inhabitants are annoyed by the restrictions and the effort, which is for the protection of the G20 guests operated. Christoph Hoffmann, CEO of the 25hours Hotels, confirms this too: “On Friday the area around the Elbphilharmonie will become a safety zone. Two of our Hamburg houses are right next door.”
But instead of agreeing to the concert of those who complain, 25hours takes the whole thing with humor. The hotel group has set up a “Trump Suite” together with the design agency Honey at the 25hours hotel Altes Hafenamt in the Hafencity for the duration of the G20 summit. This does not necessarily correspond to the maritime style of the house, but is based on the painful and luxurious furnishing taste of the high peak participant. If you live in the 25hours hotel like the U.S. President, you will not only get police and barracks convoys live, but also experience pomp and luxury, which – with very few exceptions – have never before existed in a hotel room. As always with the 25hours hotels, known for loving design details in their rooms, the “Trump Suite” also surprises with charming ideas and iconic ironic quotations – from the golden hair dryer including hair styles to Mexican welcome chocolate.
However, you can not book the suite: it will be auctioned to the top bidders on eBay. The entry price for two nights (July 7-9, 2017) including breakfast, welcome drink at the ‚Boilerman bar‘ and dinner in the oriental-eclectic ‚Neni‘ restaurant is 125 Euro.
The proceeds of the auction will be fully donated to the climate protection organization “Climate without Borders”. “This is a very, very great offer and everyone should bid,” says 25hours Chief Brand Officer Bruno Marti.
