This barkeeper is among the greatest – In Switzerland in Waldhaus hotel in St. Moritz, the young bartender Sandro Bernasconi triumphed by selling 2 cl of a 140 years old whiskey to a guest from China – for the massive amount of 9,999 CHF.
Sandro advised the young Chinese, this bottle of Macallan whiskey from 1878 aren’t for sale. Please note, the ‚Devil’s Place Whisky Bar’ offers over 2,500 different whiskey and retains a Guiness world records. But the guest was mindful of the cost – this old bottle was taxed for more than 50,000 CHF.
At least, tasting this 1 glass of two cl Macallan whiskey was amounted to 9,999 CHF. The bar tender hopes to market the remaining opened jar to other guests – for this bill…
