Education in the category Hospitality Management is very positively reviewed, this is shown by the research done by Keuzegids HBO 2018. The leader in the public sector is Hotelschool The Hague, for the fourth consecutive year.
Keuzegids HBO 2018 praises the specialised hotel schools with intensive courses that prepare students for the international hospitality industry. Hotelschool The Hague (with campuses in The Hague and Amsterdam) is best ranked with a total score of 82 on a scale of 100. The other hotel schools are: TIO (private), Maastricht Zuyd, NHTV, Stenden and Saxion.

The results of the Keuzegids HBO 2018 are based on the results of two components: the performances and the achievement scores of the National Student Survey (Nationale Studenten Enquete (NSE)). The performances are based on the number of students that finish the first year with good results and complete the education within five years, as well as the number of contact hours. The achievements are based on the results of the National Student Survey and the verdict of the experts of the Dutch/Flemish Accreditation Committee, which has accredited the Hotelschool The Hague. The total score and the end result of the Keuzegids HBO 2018, is based on all 10 indicators of the verdicts of students and experts as well as the achievements.
Hotelschool The Hague was founded in 1929, making it one of the oldest independent hotel schools in the world. The school has two campuses, one in The Hague and one in Amsterdam with over 2500 students and 200 employees. Since 2014, Hotelschool The Hague has been ranked best public Hotelschool of the Netherlands four times in a row. In 2017 the school had the best Master in Business Administration according to the Keuzegids HBO.
