Pentahotels appointed Eugène Staal as President

Frankfurt, Germany – 17 October 2017 –
Pentahotels has announced the appointment of Eugène Staal as President effective November 2017. Based in Frankfurt am Main in Germany, Mr. Staal will be overseeing the global operations and developments of the brand.

Prior to joining Ppentahotels, Staal founded YawnWorld, a stylish and innovative apartment rental concept representing the lifestyle and demands of today’s global citizens. He also founded MisterSteel, a consultancy delivering trendsetting and commercially successful concepts, as well as strategic technical services and branding support to hospitality clients.

Staal brings with him over 25 years of experiences in corporate hospitality roles – from a corporate trainee at Grand Hyatt New York to senior management positions around the world, to eventually set up Hyatt’s EAME office in Lausanne. In 2006, Staal joined the executive team of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group in Brussels where he led the group through significant growth as Senior Vice President, Technical Services. He improved its leased hotel portfolio of the multi-branded group from an asset management perspective, helped grow the Radisson Blu and Park Inn brands in Europe, Africa and Middle East.

Staal joins the Pentahotels brand as it prepares itself for substantial growth and expansion over the next few years. Pentahotels‘ second property in Hong Kong- Pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun – recently opened its doors on 26 July 2017. The group has also finalised definitive agreements with Capital Group, one of Russia’s most respected property developers, to open Pentahotels‘ first Russia hotel in Moscow – Pentahotel Moscow, Arbat – in time for the 2018 FIFA World Cup to be hosted in the city. It has also announced a property in the centre of Bangkok, and has many other developments in the pipeline.
